Whether you are Pear shaped or Athletic there is a bikini to suit everybody, so don’t let fear stop you from hitting the beach this summer!
Choosing the right outfit can be a little overwhelming at first but here are some tips to help!
Knowing your body shape/type.
(Pear, Apple, Hourglass, Athletic or Slender)
Pear –If your hips are wider than both your waist and bust.
Apple –If your waist is wider than your hips and equal or as wide as your bust.
Hourglass –If your bust and hips are the same width but your waist is smaller.
Slender –If you are thin with no significant difference between your hips, waist and bust.
Choosing the right colours and fabrics will help to highlight your best features or conceal those areas that you wish to make less obvious!
If you have an Athletic shape, then you are straight up and down with fewer curves. Try wearing bikinis with ruffles or bold prints. These will help to create the illusion of a more, curvier figure! Also buy bikini bottoms that tie at the side. This also helps to enhance curves.
If you have a larger chest, then go for bikini tops with more support. Avoid embellishment details or ruffles. Try wearing bra-style tops with underwire and thicker adjustable straps. This will provide extra support.
If you are pear shaped then you are curvy at the hips and thighs and smaller on top. Try wearing block coloured full coverage briefs or boy shorts and enhance your top half by choosing a halter neck top or prints.
If you have an hourglass figure then you are slightly curvaceous and should try wearing full coverage bottoms themed with a halter neck top.
If you are petite in height and weight, go for bikinis that have a pattern, embellishment details or ruffles. Triangle tops help to create curves!
