Every woman should have red lipstick in her makeup bag. However, finding the perfect shade is never easy. I myself have spent a long time searching for the right shade to suit my skin tone. I love the way red lipstick can make you feel. It just oozes glamour! It is that classic makeup look that any woman can pull off once you find the right shade of crimson to flatter your complexion.
You may love a certain shade on someone else but that’s not to say that it will suit you. It is not just about the actual colour, but also what colour your hair and eyes are. It also depends on how bright a shade the lipstick is. Don’t be afraid to try bright colours. You never know they might be just the very colour that could work for you.
Be like Taylor Swift and rock the red lip!
Fair Skin Tone: Try a coral red instead of an orange red if you are on the pale side. Or instead opt for a cool blue shade. Deep burgundies, wine and berry shades usually work best on this skin tone.

How to Apply
Lipstick can be very dehydrating on the lips so be sure to apply an exfoliator or lip scrub.
Make sure to remove any excess exfoliator.
Line the lips with a lip liner pencil so the lipstick does not bleed into the surrounding skin. Also fill in the rest of your lips with the pencil.
Use a lip brush to apply the shade of your choice so to give a more even finish. It also makes it last longer if you work the brush into the lips.
Blot the lips with a folded tissue.
Re-apply if needed.
If you aren’t feeling brave and find red lipstick is just a little too daring, then try mixing a small amount of red lipstick with a clear lip-gloss to create a stain. This way you can still wear red, it’s just not as intense!
