The main thing to remember is that you need to keep your body hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This helps to flush toxins from the body. Start the day by drinking a cup of hot water with a slice of lemon. Or, if you feel a little more adventurous, try green tea which is high both in antioxidants and nutrients.

Increase the amount of fresh fruit and vegetables in your diet. Dark green vegetables such as Broccoli are high in iron and vitamin C. If you are not already a fan, try adding them into a soup or some green smoothies!

Cut down on alcohol, salt and spicy foods.

Get some exercise. Set aside time, even if it is just thirty minutes a few times a week for a brisk walk. Exercise is vital for wellbeing and for increasing heart rate. It speeds up the metabolism too!

A good night sleep is vital for our health. The body repairs itself during sleep so plan on getting to bed at a reasonable hour. Avoid watching television, using the phone or computers in the hour or so before bedtime. Aim to get at least seven to eight hours sleep per night.

Eating three main meals a day. Skipping a meal can lead to over eating later on in the day or night or snacking when you hit the sugar slump.

Go have a massage. This helps the body to relax, increases circulation and also gets rid of toxins. A massage is a great way to de-stress. Try to have a massage on a regular basis.

Learn to manage stress. Consider taking up Yoga or meditation. This is a brilliant way to de-stress and helps one to breathe properly.

Body Brushing helps to increase circulation and improves lymphatic drainage. It also helps to break down unwanted toxins in the body. It leaves the skin brighter and more radiant too!

Cut down on sugary foods but don’t cut them out completely from your diet, as our bodies need a certain amount of energy from each of the five main food groups. Avoiding them can lead to withdrawal symptoms such as headaches.
